Thank you to all school councils who apply for Parents Reaching Out Grants and work to support and engage parents in their communities!  If your council received a grant for the 2016-17 school year,  please remember that all spending must be completed by June 23, 2017.

School councils must first complete the online final report on the use of their PRO grant at the Ministry of Education website: http://education.factorial.ca  Councils will need the username and password they created when applying for the PRO grant.

Once the online report has been completed, please forward a printed copy of the report along with original receipts to Kathy Hodgins, Director’s Office (570 West Hunt Club) by June 23, 2017.

In October, all OCSB schools received a PIC Grant that was to be used towards parent involvement initiatives. All spending is to be completed by June 23, 2017. 

School councils must complete a final report on the use of their PIC grant.  The report is to be signed by the school council chair and the school principal.  The report and original receipts are to be returned to Kathy Hodgins, Director’s Office (570 West Hunt Club) by June 23, 2017.

CSPA April 27 Recognizing and Supporting Mental Health Needs of Our Children and Youth

This session will explore the concepts of "normal stress" and the "continuum of mental health" along with the signs and symptoms of potential mental health issues in children and youth.

Special Education March 2017Workshops for Parents of Children with Special Needs
OCSB Student Services, in partnership with the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), PIC and CSPA, present an evening of workshops for families of children with special needs.  These 4 workshops will be offered twice (Assistive Technology, Positive Advocacy, Mental Health Supports at the OCSB, On My Way - Transitions). Participants can attend two sessions of their choice.
